Supporting Sustainable Farming in Nigeria
Our business goal is to provide a sustainable market for all Nigerian farm produce, cutting down post harvest losses and wastages along the Nigeria food system supply chain, thereby improving the quality of farm products that gets to market and improving the earning capacity of Nigerian farmers.
We proffer solutions to the development and adaptation of cold chain into the Nigerian economy to reduce Post Harvest losses in agriculture and establish a robust cold chain logistics network. Nigeria will profit immensely deploying cold chain solutions to trade in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) which presents a huge opportunity to transform the Nigerian economy. Cold chain systems will give Nigeria the ability to deliver all Nigerian farm production to market thereby cutting out wastage and improving efficiency.
In Nigeria 40-50% of fresh fruit and vegetables (FFV) are lost during postharvest periods, between the farm gate and the final consumer. Billions of Naira are lost each year due to inefficient and inadequate cold chain system of storage and transport, amongst other factors such as improper crating methods, poor infrastructure, lack of cool/cold storage technologies, poor handling education at the farm, food safety issues, and so on. All these have been adequately addressed by our business model which brings fresh nutritious farm produce to you.
